WhatsApp is preparing three very interesting news that could change the way we use this popular correspondence application.
Although it is not yet officially known when these changes will become available to users, WABetaInfo reveals features that are already available in the beta version of the application, and which should soon be officially available to everyone.
One of the possibilities that could be encountered by users is “authentication” or blocking screenshots. “Authentication” should guarantee the person on the other side of the correspondence that he is actually corresponding with the person with whom he wants to, that is, to avoid the possibility of the wrong person replying to messages using the real person’s smartphone.
When this feature is enabled, fingerprint authentication will be required to unlock WhatsApp, and the ability to create “screenshots” will be blocked.
Users will still be able to respond to messages through pop-up notifications and answer calls, but not take a “screenshot”.
It is not yet known when this option will be enabled, but it has already met with dissatisfaction from users. Especially that part of the users who do not have a fingerprint reader on their smartphone.
In addition to “authentication” in WhatsApp, they are also working on a new set of emoticons that should be the same in the chat itself as in the photo editing option.
Another novelty is related to animated thumbnails, which should enable users to more easily express their feelings and moods. According to WABetaInfo, animated thumbnails are very similar to animated thumbnails in Facebook Messenger, but as with all other announced features, it is not known when they will be officially available to users.
