The last hope of the American company, Pixel Slate, failed in the market and apparently convinced the creators that they no longer enter the market dominated by other manufacturers.

Google has decided to leave the tablet market, confirming that we will not see the new Pixel Slate this year after all. According to the manufacturer, the main focus this year will be laptops.

The firm released the Google Pixel Slate in November 2018 to roll it out a month later at a price of $ 599 for the base model.

Even though it was a nice screen device, it was still too expensive compared to the Chromebook and the rest of the competition, and it was heavy and had a ton of bugs.

Although it has internally developed two smaller tablets, Google is still coming out of the world of tablets, with members of the development team continuing to work in departments dedicated to classic laptops, Computerworld reports.

“As far as our hardware efforts are concerned, we will focus on Chrome OS laptops and continue to support the Pixel Slate,” Google said in a statement.
