On 23 February 2010 (10 January of the Tiger Year), Con Dao district held the Culture - Tourism Festival 2010 with the theme "Spring on the sea island”. The program lured the participation of around 1,000 inhabitants and tourists staying in Con Dao.

Speaking at the Con Dao district Culture – Tourism Festival , Mr. Tran Van Thong, Director of the Culture - Sports and Tourism Department, said, besides promoting the social - cultural - economic potentials of the province, thereby attracting investors, inviting domestic and foreign tourists to Ba Ria - Vung Tau in general and Con Dao district in particular, the Culture – Tourism Festival 2010 was also one of the major activities towards the 1000^th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi, to welcome the Party Congress at all levels and the 20^th establishment anniversary of Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

Also, in the program of the Con Dao district Culture – Tourism Festival, the Organization Board announced investors; introduced projects which would be put into operation in 2010 and the portfolio of projects that called for investment. Simultaneously, published six trusted tourism addresses of Con Dao district and tourism programs in the district.

Previously, in the same morning, Con Dao District held manoeuvres with folk games. Also in the same afternoon, culinary contest also took place in the joyful, excited air with the participation of 15 units as the women teams, agencies and offices. Many delicious dishes were introduced in the contest.
